How to prepare yourself for Jappleng's completion
Written by:
OG JapplengThis is it, May is here and my goal was to complete all major
development by the end of the first week of May. Now we're
beginning the first week of May and so I only have a few days left.
Here's how you can brace yourself for the epicness which will
follow.
1. Get used to Jappleng as much as you can
Jappleng is big and likewise people will have questions when they
get here. Part of being their senpai is being able to guide them
where they need to be. A help section will be made available, but
that won't be enough for the first round of invitees. By getting
used to the different sections available on Jappleng, you will also
find out new fun things you can experience and keep an eye on.
2. Create a J-Blog!
Now is the best time to create a J-Blog! The J-Blog home page right
now is a bit bland right now but everything else works just fine.
Post about your experiences and this will get yourself involved and
used to posting content on Jappleng. It will also give other people
something to read and enjoy while they are here.
3. Don't forget about News in Japan!
This is a member contributed section. Without people posting new
news content, there's no telling what's really happening in Japan!
You will earn achievements, J-Points, and be ranked with others.
News in Japan is easily forgotten.
4. Don't forget about the Forums!
This is also an easily forgotten section. Please don't forget about
this section. It's a great nifty place to keep discussions going
for a long time even with people whom you are not friends with. It
won't look good if the last several conversations were posted weeks
or even months ago, we can have fun conversations! Ask if you want
to write new topics but aren't sure what to write about. I've got
lots of ideas
5. Prepare your Club!
Club Jappleng is getting complete right now. All development clubs
will be deleted but afterwards, all clubs are a go! We have various
categories to choose from and if your category is not listed, let
us know and we'll add it to the list. Clubs have events, wiki,
polls, quizzes, forums, image galleries, and so on... Please keep
those features (optional) into consideration. I recommend writing
everything in a word document and then copy-pasting it into your
new club when it's time for it.
5. Tell all of your friends / Social media
(Please!)
If you have a social media account, please tell people about
Jappleng. If you have friends who love anime/Japan or want to learn
Japanese, please tell them about Jappleng. Also, if you happen to
have a youtube account, consider talking about us one way or
another like if you're learning Japanese with JPLearn! maybe, talk
about your experiences etc... Every bit helps!
Don't forget, we want to make this a great place for
everyone!
Jappleng's first and foremost importance is to deliver the greatest
Education/Entertainment website about Japan. The only way we can
accomplish this is if we enjoy ourselves. Take the time and enjoy
every aspect of Jappleng as you can and if there's ever something
that you don't like, let us know so we can improve it!
