Mech anime has been replaced with a genre rather familiar to it but different enough to well, be something else entirely. This is where anthropomorphic anime comes in. Usually it involves girls but sometimes boys are also part of this where they are anthropomorphized into a battleship, tank, and other military machine. This isn't the genre that I'm referring to.

The Mecha genre that I am writing about is the classic Mech Warrior or Gundam if you will. A giant robot that is piloted by a human be it a machine or some sort of advanced type of system like Escaflowne's biological Mech Robots.

I love Mechs and I am very proud of this! I hope that Japan will continue to tailor to us few whom remain in this very niche genre.
