Update September 8,
2022
Overview
Today I am proud to announce that the latest edition of Jappleng
has been uploaded. Many changes have been made for this patch and
more are coming shortly.
Mainly what has changed is the new education section. Many
features have change drastically and as a result required a
progress data wipe because grades are now included on a per-lesson
and per-module basis. What this means is that each lesson will be
edited to support the new module system. Each module can be
completed (like a checkpoint) and each module will have a
determined amount of grade that may be given. In the future,
quizzes and tests etc… will be incorporated in said modules.
You may also track how long you have been studying on a
per-lesson / per-course basis and also see your total time spent
studying. In the future, there will be achievements, daily and
weekly rewards for this.
Each lesson will need to be converted over to the new system by
converting the content into individual modules (one-by-one) and
this process will take time. Afterwards, they will be edited using
the new Lesson Creation Tool that was made specifically for
Jappleng authors and in the future, teachers/tutors.
Please keep in mind that as of this moment, only one lesson has
been converted over to support the module system (Welcome to
JPLearn!) but was not yet edited and references the old assignment
system. All other lessons have not been converted over.
The new assignment system will appear in the lesson list for a
variety of reasons and it will no longer be its own separate system
but act like a regular lesson. This decision was made because it
made more sense to do it that way and made it a lot easier for
students. All existing assignments will be migrated over as the
lessons are also migrated.
