Updates 6/9/2022:
Today's update includes a new feature and various fixes around
the site. Like yesterday, many of these changes were originally
meant to be towards the end of development but due to
circumstances, they were done today.
Current total: 10 / 154 (6.49% Completion) or 1.29% progress
today.
New feature:
- Added Dictionary search within actual searches. This means if you
search for the word "Night" for example, a module in the search
results will display the Jappleng dictionary listing for the word
"Night". This only works with the first word. Will consider seeing
how it works with multiple words at a later time.
Updates:
- New Event module displays current events going on on the right
panel (available in certain sections)
- 3 Event images used. Summer break treasure hunt, Jappleng Friend
Finder, IMChat Expression! themes.
- Replaced "Earn J-coins" image on the right menu with a new remake
of it where applicable
- Friends module now has more rounded edges at the bottom "tapered
bottom". This will become more common throughout the site a it
changes
- Media Library thumbnails have tapered bottom support
- Some various footer modules have tapered bottom support
- Many of the club modules have tapered support (side dependent on
the module)
- Some buttons have rounded edges now
- Forum categories have improved visual updates
- Images in articles have been fixed so that they do not render
overly huge on the screen
- Images wrapped inside with a caption has been fixed so that they
appear the correct size
- Introduction to Kanji Part 1 and Part 2 lessons have been
un-published since they said "coming soon" but I don't have them
available right now and need to focus on getting the site completed
first (unpublishing them makes it less confusing)
- Resolved issue where search result images may overlap with
other elements
Major bug fix:
- Since the last update, it was impossible to create a new
account or more accurately, all new accounts had an ID of 0 meaning
they would override eachother. As a result, many accounts were lost
but this issue has been now resolved. I will see if I cannot send
individual e-mails to people who may have attempted to create an
account if I can find the data.
