As Jappleng 7.0's release draws near, Yokai Trainers finds
itself in the spotlight again. A dream that I once had to make is
now becoming reality. Presently, a few items have been made
available to the Jappleng Market relating to Yokai Trainers and a
few Achievements have been prepared for it.
A basic draft of the game has been made and tested, it works
but it could use improvement before publishing. Now that the
initial test build of the game works, I can rebuild it quickly and
properly so that it is a easy to work with game and can be enjoyed
by people using multiple devices.
Yokai Trainers will be a lot like a Tamagochi from the 90s.
The little pet that you carry around with your house keys and needs
to be occasionally fed, walked etc... But unlike Tamagochi, Yokai
Trainers will have more depth to it and have a story to follow. You
will also be able to rebuild a destroyed village and upgrade each
part of the village to gain access to higher level related things.
Yokai will be able to do their own things or you can do things with
them. You won't be limited to just one Yokai but to all of them.
Collect them all? :P
I will be working on Yokai Trainers when I want a rest from
Jappleng and my IRL work. It's a game that I want to just work to
relax if that makes sense. I will keep posting in these forums with
updates relating to it and occasionally test builds for you all to
try. Please note that test builds will have character wipes!
I don't have a deadline for Yokai Trainers but the sooner it's
done, the better right?
