Your best bet is to start with Hiragana since it is the most
essential kana but you will eventually need to also learn katakana
for foreign adopted words since there are many. You can learn
them all including the stroke order as part of the

Both are essential. Katakana is usually learned first. Many people
try to get by without learning either, don't think you can stick to
only using romaji, though...

to enroll in the course before you can take part of it. Just click
on the enroll button and then confirm your registration. The course
is free so don't worry about that :)[br][br]
