I have a really bad problem. I want to learn Japanese because it
seems really fun to do. I don't know why but it just is. I think it
would be fun to know a second language because I only know English
and I also want to watch japanese tv and listen to music without
having to rely on subs and translations. I study for 2 or 3 days
and then I get demotivated for months. Then I try again and then I
stop studying. I always lost interest after a few days and it's
really annoying. How can I stay motivated so i can learn japanese
fluently?[br]

Go on J-Spot and find a bunch of people. Ask if they want to study
with you and you can practice Japanese in wall conversations,
j-mail conversations or IMChat conversations. Without people to
study with and talk to, you hardly have any motivation to really
continue on your own. I think that most people won't last a month
without having others to practice and enjoy the language with.[br]

get a reason to study it. there's no point if you don't have a
reason[br]

I agree with Mark. I constantly get discouraged mainly because I
feel that I won't be able to use the language much until I go to
Japan in a few years (hopefully). I think it is just a matter of
keeping at it even if it's boring, though. However, if you're
looking for someone to study with and chat with in Japanese then
I'd totally be glad to! It honestly makes me more motivated when I
see other people keeping at it as well. It's really encouraging! So
like Mark said, I'd just suggest trying to find people who will
speak in Japanese with you!

Thanks! I came back after watching a video of this guy speaking
pretty decent Japanese after a few months and thought that it could
have been me by now. I'm going back to my studies and will follow
your advice![br]

Hi there, I would like to suggest you watch some interesting videos
and read some books like comics or interesting story books in
Japanese so that you can develop the interest in learning the
language. [br][url=http://www.selectmytutor.co.uk/subject-japanese.html]Japanese
