Presumably while sitting on a toilet, some clever hacker decided that it would be a marvelous idea to find an exploit in the android application that allows its master to command the toilet with the power of their phone. Which I think is silly because the screen of any phone is just about as more dirty than putting a finger up your dirty bum but I suppose since it's invisible, it can't harm us.Let's ignore the fact that you can control your loyal toilet to wash your privates by gently whispering into the phone "I want you to wash me", we've come to an age where toilets can take that to the extreme by slamming toilet seats onto your General, spray toilet water all over the bathroom, and randomly sing lullabies while you're sleeping. A possessed electronic? Sounds more like it's from Maximum Overdrive!
Remember that scene when that guy gets hit in the nuts by a possessed vending machine? Now imagine flying turds.
So you may be wondering by now, who figured this out and what company should you avoid to preserve whatever shreds of sanity you may have? The answer to that is Trustwave Holdings found the exploits and LAXIL is the one that released this haunting beast to the public.Okay, so it's not as bad as I'm making it seem. LAXIL is a well established company, think possibly the largest commode companies in Japan which invented a toilet that can pair with a phone. That doesn't mean you have to use the phone, which you don't. But in the event that you do, there's an exploit for it which I'm sure a firmware update will fix. So for now, if you're still paranoid, avoid the Satis-brand commodes but I'm pretty sure that the odds of anyone hacking your royal chair is very slim. But for now, Android has spoken...
