In a world full of strange news, we've got a Japanese blogger on Sunday that set his house on fire over a live stream. As you watch the video, keep in mind the weird robotic voice in the background is actually coming from his computer to narrate comments for his video.Video link updated on October 7 due to the original file being removed. Please let me know if it goes down again. What was he playing with you ask? He was using a permanent match which requires lighter fluid and lighter fluid is extremely volatile and hard to put out. In fact, it's best to not use water as water will ignite the gas. What have we learned today? Always have a fire extinguisher in your house, but not all fire extinguishers are made the same. There are different ratings and each are made for different situations. Do not use a water based fire extinguisher for flammable liquids, gas, oils, or electronics but do use water based fire extinguishers for solids like clothes, cardboard etc... Use a dry powder fire extinguisher for solids like clothes, cardboard etc... and for flammable liquids, gasses and electrical equipment but do not use it for cooking oils. As for cooking oils, you'll have to consider your situation on whether you want to use CO2 or foam, both have their pros and cons.It doesn't take much to burn down your house when you have a trash bag on fire, so just remember kids, clean you room and you probably won't have to worry about burning your house down.
