If you haven't heard of Attack on Titan and you're an Anime/Manga fan, you were likely in a coma for the past few years because it is without a doubt one of the most successful anime franchise of the decade. While fans demand more chapters and episodes, producers thought of a way to hold us off until the next season and that is the Live Action adaptation of Attack on Titan in Movie format.For those of you whom have never watched a live action movie from Japan, they are usually very good. Case in point: Rurouni Kenshin. It's an excellent series and I'd implore you to go see it. Attack on Titan may certainly hit a homerun, after all a lot is riding on this film to be successful unlike Dragon Ball Evolution which was, well... Let's just say that every critic thought it was bottom tier near Battlefield Earth, perhaps even ranking worse than it. But this movie isn't Americanized, in fact there seems to be a strong resentment from the western Japanese-centric community over the fact that the characters are not German. While I can understand the feeling of betrayal, it wouldn't be any stranger than a white teenager portraying Son Goku.Attack on Titan will release on August 1, 2015!
