Telecinco 5 steals Thai cosplay footage as Japanese
According to Telecinco 5, a Spanish (Spain) news station, Thai people are Japanese and this is news to all of us. I have spent my life believing that Thai and Japanese people were different and now I've learned the truth. Satire comedy aside, let's learn what this is really about. The Spanish news station, Telecinco 5 wanted to publish a segment about Japanese cosplay and what they did is regarded as one of the greatest taboos of cosplaying. This taboo that I speak of is unforgivable, it is detested, and it is just as bad as asking a cosplayer "uuh, what are you supposed to be?". Yes, it's just that bad. Stealing pictures without giving credit where it's due? Naw, they take it up a notch. Instead they stole most of their footage by a photographer that goes by NaThalang. The original Footage:What's really amusing is that in the title is "Cosplay: Japan Festa in Bangkok 2013 @ CentralWorld (Bangkok," which is clearly not in Japan. In the description it also says "The video itself is the intellectual property of NaThalang© and the video cannot be used without the owner's permission. All rights reserved." which is much different than those with licenses that allow free use.If you want to watch the original video, it's not in a YT format so I can't embed it here yet, but you can view the original source at: http://www.telecinco.es/informativos/informativo_21_h/Informativo_21_h-Pedro_Piqueras_2_1776105185.html (near the end of the video). I am not a journalist nor will I ever become one but taking someone's work is not journalism, it's simply plagiarism. Give credit where it's due. Telecinco 5, shame on you! This story was originally brought to light by Kotaku
