In the year 2015, a team of diabolical engineers decided to create a new kind of sport, one that would involve giant robots, fire, explosions, and dangerous battles piloted by humans. This promise was made to a kickstarter campaign and while it was thought that the first battle between USA vs Japan would occur in 2016, that year passed with no battle. But now, both teams are ready to take on the challenge and battle later in the year. Witness the first epic battle between giant robot mechs fighting to the death coming this summer.
Team USA: MegaBots MK. III The MK. III is 16-feet tall, weighs approximately 10,000kg (22046.23lbs), uses a military grade track base for travel, and for its weapons it has a Chainsaw a Ripsaw and American Patriotism. It is expected to be complete by May of 2017.
Final Concept:
Team Japan: Kuratas II Japan has been very quiet about their development, unlike Megabots’ MK.III, no data about the upgraded Kuratas has been made. We only know what the original “civilian” version is like but we can only assume it’s going to be bigger, stronger, faster, and full of weapon arsenal that can take the MK. III a run for its money.
This is the original Kuratas circa 2012:
Possible Newcomer? – Korea’s Method – II Rumors have been spreading that Korea’s Method – II may be participating in future mech duals as they are manufactured for anyone with funds for it. We don’t have any information about the Method II which is supposedly releasing this year for a cool $8M price tag but we do have a video clip of the Method I instead.
The Battle of the century! The Battle between the MK III and the Kuratas II will take place at an undisclosed location on August 1st, 2017. The first battle will be history in the making as the first giant mech battle fight will take place. Everyone will be able to see this unfold live on YouTube and other venues.
