Simply put, whether you want to learn about new Japanese things like the language or culture, if you want to explore more about the Japanese entertainment or perhaps you just want to meet new people whom are also interested in similar tastes as you, this is what we do.Jappleng is Free!Yes, that's right! Jappleng is free, and unless we're hemorrhaging money and can't afford keeping the site up anymore, there will be no ads either. Oh, and we love privacy! I get not many people value this but we do. That's why Jappleng is https and using a very strong encryption. We don't sell / trade / talk about your private stuff either unless you post it publicly of course, then that's just you telling the world.Jappleng was built from scratch!Everything on Jappleng was built from the ground up for this community in mind. There's really nothing quite like it!Where should I begin?Oh man, good question! This is more or less a question for yourself. Do you want to learn about the Japanese culture? What about the language? Do you want to Join online Japanese clubs or socialize with others? We even have forums, a chat, and many other community features. You may also see a list of available courses here.I would rather learn about the Japanese cultureNo problem! We really love exploring the Japanese culture as well. We utilize multiple sources online, magazine, books, videos, and personal accounts to create our cultural editorials and call them "Japan Life" articles. They can be found in the Explore the Culture section of Jappleng.I want to go to Japan soon / one day, is there a Travel section?Yes! However, we merged it with our cultural section called "Explore the Culture". It's somewhat of a sub-section if you will of it now and it's all about going to Japan. For instance it features places to eat, shop, immigration information, job information etc...I want to socialize with others like meGlad to hear it! With a Jappleng account you're automatically part of the J-Spot! Social Network. This is Jappleng-exclusive and completely developed from scratch. Unlike facebook and other major competitors, we simply do not share your private life and if you want to roleplay as any character, you can do so. The rules are very lenient there and yes, there are maturity filters, and permissions. This way, swears can be filtered, mature content is not seen by default and content is shared only with those you want to share it. The J-Spot! Social Network can be accessed from the top menu if you are logged-in.Is there a forum?Yes! Once again, it's completely written from the ground up and can be found hereIs there a chat room?Yep! There are many unique features to our chat room and many more to come. You can find our chat room hereI want to post new news items, how can I do this?Oh joy! As long as it's relevant to Japan you can post whatever you like. Simply click on Submit News found on the right menu and you'll begin your journey into journalism.I'm here for images about Japan / anime, is there an image-board?Yes, but it's integrated in your J-Spot profile and Club Jappleng. You can post what you like in either and it will show up here if the permission is set to public. Otherwise, keep an eye on your J-Spot feed for what others are posting.What's this Club Jappleng thing I keep hearing about?Top secret! Actually, it's a new service that we're releasing real soon. For the time being it's under private-beta and only those with a Club Jappleng Beta Pass can access it. Essentially you can join and create clubs, level them up and do all sorts of nifty things with them.I heard about this thing called J-Points, what do they do?You did? You're quite observant and I'm happy you asked! J-Points may be eventually renamed to J-Coins but they are a form of currency that you can collect around Jappleng. Most things you do earns you J-Points. Posting here, posting on J-Spot, posting in the forums, completing achievements, logging in every day, there's always a place to earn J-points!What can I do with J-Points then?Very good question, but it's better explained if you take a look at the J-World Market. Eventually we will allow items to be sold for J-Points to other members so be sure to collect those limited edition items!Is there more to Jappleng?Absolutely! There's so much more and these things that were just mentioned are just the basics. You can search Jappleng by tags, keep track of your assignments, save items for later, make friends, roleplay and create a harem on J-Spot (not kidding, this is the first time ever anywhere it seems) and so on...
