My Dress-Up Darling (Anime) sparks interest in hina dolls
The latest crazed anime is My Dress-up Darling,
an anime where a student makes dolls with his grandfather for
business and a girl finds out with keen interest. What is that
interest you say? Fashion! Or more precisely, cosplay! Wakana Gojo,
the high school doll craftsman is asked by Marin Kitagawa, the girl
otaku to makea cosplay outfit for her and he agrees.
This provocative anime became a hit sensation, so much so that
it has boosted sales figures by Hina Doll makers ANN reprots.
Square Enix publishes the manga in their Young Gangan magazine
and the anime airs on Tokyo MX, GYT, GTV, BS11, YTV, Metele and
AT-X in Japan. Demographics is Seinen / Ecchi.
