I know, this game seems bleak in terms of development but
honestly I've been busy with other projects that pay the bills and
there weren't many people coming to Jappleng anyway or people
saying they were interested in this game. I started to work on this
project some more and fixed many issues existing with the game by
reworking how the stats system works and stuff.
The first iteration of Yokai trainers will be like a pet raising
simulator where you have a pet and you can feed, pet and tell it to
sleep.
Release 1: (ETA end of January)
- Yokai will be shown in a module where you can hatch
(initializes the game for you), see it and its stats, feed it, pet
it, tell it to sleep.
- You will be able to give your pet attribute points whenever it
earns new attribute points
- You will be able to name your Yokai
Release 2: (ETA early February)
- You'll be able to send the Yokai out to discover new regions
with a set probability.
- You'll be able to send the yokai out on the discovered regions
to find new items.
- Pets will gain XP and level as well as attribute points
Release 3: (ETA mid-February)
- You will be able to view your town
- You will be able to harvest obstacles so that you can expand
your buildings in these locations
- You will be able to construct buildings
- You will be able to upgrade buildings
Release 4: (ETA Unknown)
- Potion shop will be added with functionality
- Dojo will be added with functionality
- Battle system will be ready with a test arena
- Yokai Manager will be available
- Incubator system will be created
This is just an estimate and deadlines may change. I could
complete all of this in a weekend or over the period of a few
months. There are a lot more features and things to add after
Release 4 but I'd like to first start with some of the basics and
see if anyone really wants to play this. It's a free to play game
exclusively for Jappleng so you just need to go to the Games
section of the site to play it when it becomes available.
