Hello everyone, it's been a while hasn't it? If you would like
to read about my struggles mentally and physically you can check
out my J-Spot posts. But I have been resuming work on the project
for almost 2 months now except also not.
What this means is that I have been working on a new Content
Management System that is built from the ground-up using the latest
technologies available. This new system allows me to create new
content on the fly, including new features and sections in a matter
of minutes instead of days to weeks to even months. This new system
also is fast, like really fast. It uses a lot less bandwidth, it is
very portable, it barely touches the databae compared to the
currently available Jappleng.
I have also been experimenting with a new chat system that is
hands-down a significant improvement and can in theory support
voice and video if it were enabled. Imagine the possibilities with
a education-focused website as this? Because the new system is so
different, things like more poll options will be possible and user
created quizzes will actually be released at some point. The design
and functionality of the site is also very different.
I would like to elaborate more on the new features being
worked on but I'll keep it a secret. My point for this post is that
this project is far from dead and I'm still working on it. The new
content management system is not just intended for Jappleng but a
few other projects I am working on / planning to work on.
Will Jappleng have a mobile app though? The answer to this
is.... Yes. I have been learning how to do it for some time now so
it shouldn't be an issue.
I will remain offline to stay focused but the site will
continue to be moderated.
