I've collected games since I was little. I mean the earliest
I've played Super Mario Bros was when I was about 2-3 and I was
able to clear the first level according to reliable sources. It was
almost like destiny to be an otaku. Every game I would buy, it
would be brand new, there was something about owning a brand new
game versus a gross used copy. Eventually I thought about the
developers and continued with this tradition whenever possible.
As for game consoles, I've owned every one of them until last
generation because I was just tired of spending so much on
something I have little time for anymore. Wii U, Xbox One, PS4,
Switch, 3DS... I didn't bother. I should have close to a thousand
games and like two dozen consoles in my collection? (Exluding DLC
content) I need several big boxes to keep the cables and
controllers in lol! I could have easily bought myself a new car
with the amount I've spent on games in my life T__T
As far as imported games, I have a few and I remember one of my
first one being on a demo disc for the original Playstation. On the
NES it was common to get bootleg imported games as part of a
multi-cart system, but for a legitimate game that made me go "what
kind of moonspeak is this?" I'd say it was an adventure game for
the PSX. I thought it was really cool because I downloaded a kana
chart where I would decypher the words for fun but didn't
undrestand a thing. I was pretty young, I didn't know the
difference between Chinese and Japanese and thought both were the
same language in different countries xD
Oh and the game I was playing didn't have kanji I think because it
was for little kids. As for the title, I have no idea! Let's go
with "The great adventures of moonspeak"
I have like 6 modern games and that's about it. FML....
It's okay Toots, it's not how many games you have but how many high quality games you have :D
