Hello everyone! Today I have updated Jappleng in preparation for
patch 7.4 which will be arriving as soon as next week for Beta
Testers!
What has changed?
- The IMChat has been updated with many new features,
improvements and visual changes
- The website as a whole has undergone a makeover; Not everything
has been updated but it is in the middle of transitioning to better
fit the new Entertainment section.
- Many bugs have been resolved.
- Performance improvements have been applied throughout the site,
it should operate better now.
- Minor improvements for Mobile support. Please keep in mind that
more improvements will be made available after patch 7.4.
- Testing of various new features.
- Friends list system in dashboard has been improved so it loads
immediately upon launching the dashboard and it no longer checks
every 5 seconds for friend status update when the dashboard is
closed.
What is coming for Patch 7.4?
- An entirely new section will be added (Entertainment)
- The entertainment section will be massive, containing over
10,000 anime titles, thousands of voice actors, thousands of staff
members, every publishing company etc…
- Many sub-sections such as Seasonal Anime Lineup, Trends,
Character/Anime/Staff/Studio Database, and more
- Dedicated pages for each anime which will include information
about the title, user reviews, tags/genres, episode list, fan
lists, media, related clubs and so on…
- Comprehensive seach system which will allow users to search by
title, tag, genre, personal preferences, aired date and more!
- Users will be able to add anime titles to personal or public
lists where public lists can either be set to shared contribution
or personal. Share your passion!
- Users will be able to keep track of what they watch, if they
abandoned it, what they want to watch and so forth…
- Users will be able to favorite their favorite anime, studio,
voice actor, etc… and get notifications delivered to their J-Spot
when related news is published such as a new anime title!
- Forecast your queue list by peering into the future anime
lineup!
- Preparations for Manga, J-Pop, K-Pop support! (Yes, it won't
only be about Anime!)
- Various other improvements will be made to the site
