I have made an update today but only after working on Jappleng
for the day. I only had 2hrs or less to work on it but here's what
has happened today.
UI
Repositioned Player Menu to be under the Player Yokai UI
Using Magic repopulates the magic list live so that if there
isn't enough MP, it will gray out and be disabled
Element Type shown on Enemy UI
Element Type shown on Player UI
Combat Note: In the current lore, magic is known as Jumon but
it's easier to describe it as Magic during early
development
Magic attack algorithm has been added, attack magic now
functions as it should
Standard (Player) attack algorithm has been updated, attacks
carry improved potency, infinite mitigation scaling and other
considerations just like magic attacks.
Elemental System added. Currently supports the following
types:
[ Standard ]
Fire
Air
Earth
Water
[ Elemental ]
Light
Dark
Void
0-Type
Fire is strong against Air, Air is strong against Earth, Earth
is strong against Water, Water is strong against Fire.
Light is strong against Dark and Dark is strong against
Light.
Light and Dark are weak against Void
0-Type is strong against void but weak against all other
elements.
Elemental Bonus is either a 25% buff or 25% debuff
Healing items that uses a set value can now heal the
player
Functionality
Made a clamp system to clamp data (avoids overflow like if you
heal for 50HP but you're at 90HP and your max is 100HP, you
shouldn't have 140HP after healing)
I was just told "wow you did all that in less than 2hrs!?" and
yes, I did. Which really puts things into perspective on how
difficult Jappleng as a website is when I can roll out features
like this quickly. I still have a few more things to do to the base
battle system and further testing but it seems like the battle
system (phase 1) is pretty much complete.

Here is the progress screenshot. It's not much to look at but
compared to the last update you can see some differences.
