[headerl]Using J-Points and A-Points[/headerl]Gathering points on
Jappleng is more than fun; it’s a whole community experience!
Members of Jappleng (Free as always), can collect and use both
J-Points and A-Points. In this article, we will be learning all
about the Jappleng point system and how it can benefit you.
[headerl]What are J-Points and how do you get
them?[/headerl]J-Points (short for Jappleng-Points) are points that
any member can collect throughout the site. Sometimes J-Points
randomly appear for the taking, other times you have to work for
it. Wait, work!? No, not that kind of work, the kind where you go
out and take part of community based activities such as:
- Posting a new thread or replying to
an existing one in the Forums (Shakai) - Posting new news articles
in the News in Japan section - Getting voted on your News articles,
and voting on other people’s News articles - Commenting on News,
Culture, Travel, and just about any article found on Jappleng -
When someone likes your post - Earning J-Points from Daily login
rewards - Earning J-Points from Achievement bonuses - Completing
Lessons will certainly earn you more J-Points - Giveaways from Chat
parties and many more…

[headerl]What are A-Points and how do you get
them?[/headerl]A-Points (short for Achievement-Points) are earned
by completing various Achievement tasks. When you register, you
immediately earned your first achievement which in turn gives you a
certain amount of J-Points and A-Points. There’s a whole list of
possible achievements to unlock, and more are made available in
time. To see your list of achievements, assuming you are presently
logged-in you can visit the My Achievements page which may also be
accessed from the top navigation menu at any time.

[headerl]Where can I see my current J-Points and
A-Points?[/headerl]You can see your current J-Points in the top
navigation menu and A-Points can be seen by visiting the J-World
Market.

[headerl]What are J-Points and A-Points for?[/headerl]You can use
both J-Points and A-Points for various reasons. For one, you can
unlock various community based features. These features can be the
ability to change your avatar, add a signature, or even contribute
to your club so club related features can be unlocked -- there are
many more.

These points may also be used to unlock new badges, titles, and
other cool things! Sometimes these items are time sensitive or
limited in quantity so be sure to unlock them if you can. At any
time, you can also sell what you have purchased with your points
and sell them on the J-World Market. Set the price, and see what
people buy it for. A certain percentage is taken out into a
Jappleng bank which will later be used for interesting community
things. [headerl]What are Badges, Titles, and all
that?[/headerl]While we’re on the subject, I’d like to take the
opportunity to talk about those. They are a type of honor system,
basically some titles or badges require a lot of points to unlock,
but in order to unlock them you have to be an active member of the
site, if you’re not, you’ll never be able to unlock them. You can
wear up to 4 badges for each avatar and one title underneath it.
Jappleng members and GMs look highly upon those with badges and
special titles, be sure to collect them all!
