When doused with water, Ranma turns into a girl and to turn back she must be exposed to hot water. Because Ranma is naturally a boy, his personalities do not convert and is basically a boy in a woman’s body. While this form Ranma attracts love interest from male characters creating a reverse-harem.

While she may not transform into a different form, she’s short tempered and exhibits anger towards Ranma frequently during misunderstandings. She is a strong Martial Artist and fights students from various clubs every morning to get to class.

Genma Saotome is Ranma’s father and martial arts teacher. He has long trained with Soun Tendo under the guidance of Happosai. Genma turns into a Panda when he is exposed to water and while he may no longer communicate vocally he utilizes wooden signs to communicate.
